Mark of the Yuan-Ti: Fifth Post (Final Thoughts)
The ending of this book wasn’t awful, but it wasn’t great either. I liked that Kellach and Driskoll finally clued in, but somehow the ending was still distinctly unsatisfying. I liked the use of the Inevitable, even if it did particularly highlight the boys being dumb. I’m not convinced that Zendric couldn’t have woken himself up (he must have some of that potion around too if Kellach does) and I’m a bit annoyed that Moyra didn’t participate much because she slept through the whole damn book. Overall this wasn’t the worst book in the series, but it was far from the best.
