Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency: Third Post (Stuck)
So many things are stuck in this book. The horse is stuck in the bathroom, the sofa is stuck in the staircase, the monk is stuck in his weird beliefs, Gordon is stuck as a ghost, and Richard is stuck in a series of impossible situations. Why so much stuckness? Strangely enough, just as everything becomes stuck the story itself stops feeling stuck and begins to feel like it’s really moving forward. It is a strange reversal. It works well, but it is quite strange.
