This I Believe: Third Post (Pizza Dudes)
Sarah Adam’s piece was about being cool to the pizza delivery dude. It sounds silly and made me laugh at first, which I think it was supposed to do, but it had a lot of real depth to it as well. She said that respecting pizza delivery dudes is important for humility, empathy and equality - all pretty important things. Her arguement was basically that these qualities need to come out and be practiced in small, everyday ways as well as in big, obvious ways. It was a good piece - funny and deep at the same time.
