How the Wizard Came to Oz: Third Post (Final Thoughts)
In general this story ended well. The wizard defeated the witches, but not through his own power, which brought closure to the story and nicely set things up for future stories (a.k.a. The Wonderful Wizard of Oz et. al.). I found the inclusion of the Tin Woodman and the Cowardly Lion’s stories to be kind of incomplete and random. The book didn’t need them and they felt out of place. Overall the book was good and I enjoyed reading it, but it wasn’t amazing. It was better than I expected it to be. It generally didn’t feel redundant, which I had feared (and which it could easily have done). I enjoyed it, but probably won’t read it again.
