This I Believe: Ninth Post (Family and Thinking)
I love Cecile Gilmer’s piece about family. She talks about family being the people who are there for you and care and love you, regardless of if they are at all related to you. It was a great piece and she was a lucky woman to have found such a wonderful family. Temple Grandin’s piece about seeing in simple, precise pictures was great too. She spoke incredibly eloquently about how she thinks, which is always hard, and I’m incredibly impressed. Her work sounds fascinating, although something that I doubt I could do very well. What struck me most about Brian Greene’s essay was his passion. He feels so strongely about what he his saying that you want to help him. What he says is true, and I hope that he manages to improve the situation, but I’m not sure how he’s going to go about doing it!
