This I Believe: Fifteenth Post (Living Well)
There was a sweet piece from Jamaica Ritcher about life and death and discussing the two with her two-year-old daughter. Jackie Robinson discussed fighting against barriers one at a time (and the importance of picking the right fight), which was vaguely interesting but also highly predictable. Mel Rusnov’s piece about music and creativity was beautiful and a little abstract, but also made me want to go play the piano! Eleanor Roosevelt’s piece about letting people think about what they believe for themselves about about her belief that one must always live the best that one can was fascinating. I particularly found her slightly mysterious beliefs about living well without knowing why interesting. My favorite of the bunch, though, was the essay from sixteen-year-old Josh Rittenberg about how tomorrow will be a better day. It was beautiful and sweet.
