Write Now!: Third Post (Building)
This chapter focused on fleshing out or expanding an idea, once you’ve got one. Basically, it’s stated goal was to get you to finish a first draft, and in general it did a pretty good job. It talked about character and story basics (rising and falling action, relationships, etc.), more genre specific topics (how to storyboard, horror techniques, etc.) and had helpful general exercises (make your own muse, interview your main character, etc.). It was as varied and interesting as the previous chapter and built nicely on that. I am quite impressed with this book.
