Joan of Arc: Second Post (More Thoughts)
This book really is beautiful. I just love the patterns on the fabrics of people’s clothing and the flying banners and all the wonderful details! The saints and archangel Michael are radiant and beautiful and I love how they seem to glow. The author obviously adores Joan, but that is fine, most picture book biographers seem to be in awe of their subjects like that! Anyway, it was a nice book. It is pretty, written engagingly and about an interesting subject. This is a beautiful book.
