Things Fall Apart: Third Post (Punishments)
As much as I dislike Okonkwo, I still think that what happens to him and his family sucks. I think he was stupid to treat his gun as casually as he did, but the death of Ezeudu’s son was an accident and Okonkwo and his entire family should not have to live in exile for seven years because of it. The whole thing is really sad. I mostly feel bad for Okonkwo’s wives and children whose entire lives were uprooted in an instant because of the whole mess. It’s just awful!
