Ok, if someone told me the story that Regin told to Segurd and then, like Regin did, said he wanted the treasure, I’d think he was either lying or insane. If anyone who possesses the ring is cursed to die (implying a horrible death that happens soon), why would he want it? Wouldn’t he specifically not want the damn thing? That’s how I’d feel anyway!
