Town Boy: Second Post (Slowness)
There is such an undercurrent of materialism in this book. It’s very truthful to the experience of being a teenager. That is this book’s greatest virtue - honesty. The problem is that nothing is really happening. The book moves painfully slowly because nothing ever really happens. Hopefully that will improve, but as I’m already nearly half-way through, I don’t have a lot of hope.
