Hattie Big Sky: First Post (First Impressions)
Hattie is a great character so far! She’s pretty competent, but she doesn’t think so, and she has big dreams, some of which she barely even admits to herself. The period details are great, but sometimes not as specific as one might wish (the first time we get Hattie’s age is when she’s talking to the clerk in Montana and even then we have no real sense of what that age would have meant then). I am enjoying the book so far, though.
