Laika: More Thoughts
This was a pretty powerful book. I sobbed all through the end of it. Abadzis did an amazing job of telling this story. The people and the dogs all were extremely real with very understandable emotions and realistic motivations. There was so much emotional power it actually hurt at times. Abadzis did things like smudging images or even leaving a face completely blank to illustrate what people were feeling. He really did an amazing job with this book and I’m extremely grateful to have gotten the chance to read it.
