There’s some great stuff in this book. I’m very impressed with how many specific details are here. There is also one great illustration that I might use for my “I Want to Play Her” series on Pixiepalace. I hope the other books that I have from this series are as good!
This is full of interesting information. While a lot of it is about clothing and fashion, there’s a lot about other things too. True to the title, the book only really talks about nobility, but there is a surprising amount of information concerning the daily lives of medieval nobility! I’m impressed!
This is a cute sticker book, but it’s a little more directed than I’d really like. I also wish there were more options for the various pages (more hats, etc.). The art is cute, but not as polished as Glasser’s. I guess I just wasn’t super impressed with this book.
I liked how this book asked the reader to spy things in words as well as in pictures. It’s a great beginning reader exercise and definitely still part of the game (if probably the less fun part). I was actually pretty impressed with this one.
This is a cute book of “stuff” to make your life fancier. The problem is that it has an extremely short shelf-life. Once the “stuff” is removed, there’s just not much left. And then you’ve spent $18 for very little. The accessories are cute, but unless all the girls involved had a copy of the book, I doubt they’d be that much fun. Oh well. It’s a cute idea, anyway!
