The Knights of the Roundish Table
The Book of Pooh
“Day of the Knights”
All:
Oh, you’ve heard of us in song and legend, history and fable,
We’re strong,
Piglet:
And brave!
All:
And smart,
Piglet:
And brave!
All:
And true,
Piglet:
And brave!
All:
And able!
Rabbit:
We joust with pointy lance,
Tigger:
Wearin’ clanky metal pants!
All:
We’re the knights of the roundish table!
The roundish table!
Rabbit:
Our deeds are always fair!
All:
The roundish table!
Pooh:
I need a roundish chair!
Tigger:
Sir Bouncealot am I!
In noble fashion, noble bearing!
Piglet:
And I’m Sir Piglet of the Small!
Do you like this hat I’m wearing?
Rabbit:
Sir Hareahad would do his deed
So bravely and so humbly!
Pooh:
Sir Poohsival would like a noble snack
To fill his tummy.
All:
The roundish table!
Where we plan our daring feats!
The roundish table!
Tigger:
It’s also where we eats!
All:
We do brave deeds!
Piglet:
And so politely!
Tigger:
And when we brush our teeth,
We do it nightly!
All:
We will fight all evil forces!
Pooh:
And we’d be amazing riders
If we actually had horses.
All:
We’re off to stop some evil knave
Or help a needy friend!
Tigger:
Or maybe slay a dragon!
Piglet:
Can’t we just pretend?
All:
Our armor’s clean and shiny,
Though it’s heels are in a stable.
We’re fearless!
Piglet:
And we’re small!
All:
And we’re the knights of the roundish table!
Tigger:
Wohoho!
